WEF Challenge Update: Thursday Classes Postponed at 2019 Winter Equestrian Festival

Wellington, Fla. – Jan. 24, 2018 – Classes at the 2019 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) have been postponed or cancelled for Thursday, January 24.

In the International Arena, the $36,000 Equinimity WEF Challenge Cup Round 3 will resume on Friday, January 25, at 8 a.m. with the 16 remaining trips from the class and the jump-off. Thursday morning saw Kent Farrington (USA), Lorcan Gallagher (IRL), Fabio Leivas da Costa (BRA), David Blake (IRL), Daniel Bedoya (BOL) and Conor Swail (IRL) produce clear rounds out of the 71 starting horse-and-athlete combinations.

  • The Green Conformation Hunter division will also resume at 7:45 am in the E.R. Mische Grand Hunter Ring.
  • The Green Hunter 3’ division will resume at 7:45 a.m. in Ring 6.
  • The USHJA 2’9” Hunter under saddle and over fences round have been rescheduled for Friday, January 25, in Ring 12 following the USHJA 2’ division.
  • The Low Adult Hunter division with three over fences classes and an under saddle will all run on Friday, January 25, in Ring 11.
