The Triple Copa Scappino CSI4*-W Returns to Guadalajara Country Club Featuring the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Guadalajara

Guadalajara, MEX – Jan. 13, 2018 – International competition will shine once again during Eq Marketing’s Longines FEI North American League Event, the Triple Copa Scappino CSI 4*-W, presented by Audi, Jan. 24 – 28, 2018. Kicking off the new year in the second largest city in Mexico, Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco, competitors will be vying for top prizes and valuable Longines FEI World Cup™ points at the gorgeous Guadalajara Country Club. Highlights include tracks developed by 2016 Summer Olympics Course Designer Guilherme Jorge and the Longines FEI North American League World Cup™ Jumping event on the afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 27. This is the penultimate Longines FEI World Cup™ qualifying opportunity in the West Coast sub-league, and the eleventh leg of fourteen in North America.

The CSI4*-W Competition offers $4,110,000 MXN (~$213,000) in overall prize money during multiple days of competition, including the Longines FEI World Cup™ qualifying class on Thursday, Jan. 25 that will determine the start list for the highlight class on Saturday, the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Guadalajara. Jorge will put riders to the test over challenging tracks of up to 1.60m.

As the organizers of the National Championship, and co-organizers of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Mexico City, Eq Marketing (EQM) the OC, is a Mexican company with almost two decades of experience hosting equestrian events.
Francisco Pasquel, the director of EQM , also actively competes. He seeks to bring top sport to Mexico, as well as create a place for Mexican riders to gain experience in FEI-ranked competitions, bring along young horses and develop young riders in their own country.

Mexico, and for this year Guadalajara, are ready to host a top event for all competitors and spectators in attendance.

The North American League is one among sixteen taking part in the highly successful and global FEI World Cup™ Jumping series, which has been in existence since 1978.
A total of 14 athletes from the North American League will qualify for the prestigious Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final. The top seven athletes from the East Coast US, top three from West Coast US and the two best-placed athletes from Canada and Mexico.

The North American League boasts a minimum of US $2.4 million prize money across the series, and offers the best Jumping athletes from North America and around the world the chance to qualify for the jackpot of more than US $1.4 million (€1.3 million) on offer annually at the Final.
