Triple Copa Scappino Concurso International CSI4*-W Concludes With Two More Mexican Winners

Guadalajara, Jalisco, MEX – Jan. 28, 2018 – The Triple Copa Scappino Concurso International CSI4*-W concluded with the Guadalajara Country Cup, a 1.35m class against the clock, and the Audi Scappino Classic Cup, a 1.45m competition with a jump-off.

Mexican rider Arturo Navarro Reynoso wrapped up the competition in a stellar fashion, claiming his third speed class victory of the week in the Guadalajara Country Cup, a class of sixty-nine competitors and twenty-one clear rounds. Reynoso rode Armani G, a chestnut 13-year-old gelding, owned by Cecilia Swartz, to an unbeatable time of 54.01 seconds. Just a fraction of a second behind, Arturo Parada Vallejo and his G C Atlanta Z claimed the second spot in 54.42 seconds. Rounding out the podium, Juan Manuel Luzardo continued his consistent placings for the week with Silva for Ever, crossing the timers in only 54.85 seconds.

Juan Carlos Martin del Campo and the eleven-year-old bay stallion, Paddington, owned by BHV Service GmbH took home the win in the Audi Scappino Classic Cup. Of the forty-four entries, thirteen navigated the difficult track without fault, but only two competitors were able to clear the related lines and inside turns that the jump-off track demanded.

Mexican rider Juan Carlos Martin del Campo crossed the finish line double clean in a time of 35.59 seconds to lead the final victory gallop in the CSI4*-W event. Francois Esteves Da Silva picked up second in 40.32 seconds with Florentino, owned by Jose Antonio Chedraui. The third-place finisher, Rodrigo Lambre aboard Remmits Delphi, owned by Remmits Dressuurpaarden & Van Duren, was the fastest four fault score in the jump-off.

After an amazing week of show jumping, it’s goodbye from Guadalajara for 2018. The tour in Mexico continues through April with FEI 2*, 3*, 4* and 5* events at Otomi in San Miguel Allende, Balvanera in Queretaro, the first stop on the LGCT in Mexico City and the Longines FEI Nations Cup™ in Xalapa.
