Hialeah Race Track Owner Brunetti Sells 678 Acres in Ocala for $13M

February 12, 2017 – According to the  Ocala Star Banner, John Brunetti, owner of the Hialeah Park Race Track, sold more than 600 acres of land near a golf and equestrian club in Ocala for $13 million. He sold the land near a golf and equestrian club for $19,165 per acre
© file: John Brunettila LLC sold the 678.3-acre site to a wealthy investor named Larry Roberts.

Roberts made a fortune as the founder of R + L Carriers, an interstate trucking company based in Ohio, and company called RLR Investments LLC

Roberts plans to develop the land as a dual-purpose property with a 200-acre equestrian complex and 400 acres of high-end residential development.

The land Brunetti sold to Roberts, zoned primarily for agricultural use, is located near the Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club.

Roberts’ purchase was his latest property acquisition in a recent series, mostly parcels south of the Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club.

The Ocala Star Banner reported that Roberts has paid $28.74 million since last summer to acquire about 1,600 acres
