Go Behind-the-Scenes and Improve Rideability with Lauren Hough in Horse & Country TV’s Newest Barn Talk and Masterclass USA Episodes

Wellington, Fla. – Nov. 14, 2018 – Horse & Country TV (H&C TV)’s popular series Barn Talk and Masterclass USA returns on Wednesday, Nov. 14, beginning at 7 p.m. EST featuring Olympic show jumper Lauren Hough.

Born into a family of equestrians in northern California, Hough was destined to have a career with horses. Her father, Charles (“Champ”), won an eventing bronze medal at the 1952 Helsinki Olympic Games and her mother, Linda, was a successful hunter rider.

Today, Hough boasts an impressive resume as a four-time Pan American Games medalist. She has also represented the USA at the Olympics, the World Equestrian Games as well as at seven World Cup Finals.

Lauren now splits her time between the USA and the U.K. and shares more about her family, her horses and hopes for the future in addition to giving H&C TV a tour around her home located in Gloucestershire in her new Barn Talk episode.

In Masterclass USA: Lauren Hough, which premieres right after Barn Talk at 7:30 p.m. EST, Lauren discusses and demonstrates a number of simple, but effective, exercises to help improve the rideability of your horse. Lauren starts with a more experienced horse, and then jumps an up-and-coming youngster in part two of the episode, working both horses over cavalettis before moving onto a serpentine with larger fences.

“I try to really pay attention to the small details so that when you go in the ring it’s a lot easier to execute,” explained Lauren. “If you let them get away with bad habits at home, it will carry on in the ring.”
