Get to Know Your NetJets® U.S. Show Jumping Team for the FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ CSIO5* Aachen

Lexington, Ky. – The NetJets U.S. Show Jumping Team continues its preparation for the FEI World Equestrian Games™ Tryon 2018 when four shortlisted athletes compete in the FEI Jumping Nations Cup CSIO5*, part of the World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen, on Thursday, July 19. Known as one of the most competitive and electrifying events around the circuit, Chef d’Equipe Robert Ridland has given Margie Engle, Laura Kraut, Beezie Madden, and Devin Ryan the opportunity to add its seventh 2018 FEI Nations Cup podium appearance. The U.S. has drawn sixth in the order of eight teams with Kraut and Zeremonie entering the ring first for the U.S. when competition gets underway at 1:30 p.m. EST.

Margie Engle from Wellington, Fla., riding Royce, Gladewinds Partners, LLC’s 14-year-old Oldenburg stallion. During their last time out, Engle and Royce last competed at Knokke Hippique; previously they helped the NetJets U.S. Show Jumping Team secure a bronze medal in the FEI Jumping Nations Cup CSIO5* at CSIO Sopot in June.

Career Highlights: 2000 Sydney Olympic Games competitor; team silver medal at the WEG Aachen 2006; three-time Pan American Games medalist, including a team gold medal and individual bronze at the Santo Domingo 2003 Games and team silver medal at the Winnipeg 1999 Games; 2014 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Jumping Final team member

Laura Kraut from Wellington, Fla., riding Zeremonie, Old Willow Farms LLC’s 11-year-old Holsteiner mare. During their last outing, Kraut and Zeremonie earned a top-10 finish during the Paris leg of the 2018 Longines Global Champions Tour earlier in the month. They were members of the NetJets U.S. Show Jumping Team that tied for bronze in the FEI Jumping Nations Cup The Netherlands at CHIO Rotterdam in June.

Career Highlights: Two-time Olympian, including a team gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Games; two-time FEI WEG competitor, including a team silver medal at the WEG Aachen 2006; member of the silver-medal winning 2017 Longines FEI Nations Cup Jumping Final team; member of the first all-women’s FEI Nations Cup CSIO5* Dublin gold-medal winning team and recipient of the Aga Khan Trophy in 2017, and recipient of the “Prize of the Federal Minister of the Interior” award at 2017 CHIO Aachen

Beezie Madden from Cazenovia, N.Y., riding Darry Lou, Abigail Wexner’s 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion. During their last time out, Madden and Darry Lou placed fourth in the $70,000 Idle Dice Open Stake at the Devon Horse Show & County Fair in June.

Career Highlights: Four-time Olympian, including team gold medals at the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Games and a team silver medal at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Games; three-time FEI WEG competitor, including team and individual bronze at the WEG Caen 2014 and team and individual silver at the WEG Aachen 2006; two-time Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final champion (Paris 2018 and Göteborg 2013); member of the silver-medal winning 2017 Longines FEI Nations Cup Jumping Final team, as well as member of the first all-women’s FEI Nations Cup CSIO5* Dublin gold medal-winning team and recipient of the Aga Khan Trophy in 2017

Devin Ryan from Long Valley, N.J., riding Eddie Blue, LL Show Jumpers, LLC’s nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding. During their last time out, Ryan and Eddie Blue were members of the bronze medal-winning team in the FEI Jumping Nations Cup CSIO5* at CSIO Sopot in June.

Career Highlights: Placed second at the 2018 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final Paris; placed third in the 2018 $250,000 Sapphire Grand Prix, won the $216,000 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping New York CSI4*-W at the 2017 American Gold Cup
