Guadalajara, Jalisco, MEX – Jan. 24, 2018 – The first day of competition at the Triple Copa Scappino CSI4*-W at the beautiful Guadalajara Country Club kicked off with the Jalisco Cup 1.30m and The FEM Cup 1.40m. Rio Olympic and FEI course designer Guilherme Jorge built a power-and-speed track for the 107 competitors that would start in The Jalisco Cup which led to an astonishing thirty-six double clear rounds. The top five competitors all stopped the clock within a second of one another, but Juan Ignacio Pacheco proved to be the fastest aboard his 10-year-old black mare, Botija la Campana, stopping the clock in a quick 25.84 seconds.
