Darlene McInnes and Warlord tackle the Colorado Horse Park's cross-country course

Competitors will enjoy the varied terrain and creative fences of the cross-country course, which features three water complexes. The course offers technical challenges appropriate for each division, with a multitude of different obstacles designed to give horses and riders a good test.

David O'Connor and James Atkinson collaborated on the initial design for the cross-country course. Atkinson later became the sole course designer for the facility. Brian Curry will design the show jumping course for the horse trials. Robert Stevenson of Wyoming will be the head of the ground jury. Sheila Strickler of Arizona, Anita Owens of Colorado and Gwen Ka'awaloa of Colorado will serve as judges, and Ana Schravesande of Mexico will be the technical delegate.
