Wellington- August 9 2012- Peter Leone will join other top riders today, Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 at a "Meet and Greet" event at The Jumper Classic in Hampton Falls, NH. The event begins at 4:30 p.m. in the SmartPak Riders' Tent and is hosted by sponsor Langebec Wood Shavings of Canada.

"We welcome fans and the media to this unique opportunity to meet the athletes and ask questions about their horses and competing in the Olympic sport of show jumping," said Jessica Parlon, Director of Special Events for The Jumper Classic.  Local riders especially enjoy this behind-the-scenes visit in the SmartPak Riders' Tent with some of the biggest names in the sport."

The Meet and Greet panel will include Peter Leone, Anne Kursinski, Candice King, Christine McCrea, Chris Kappler, Olaf Petersen, Jr, Jefferey Welles, Darren Graziano and Jeff Papows, Chairman of the Jumper Classic.

The new, critically acclaimed book, Peter Leone's Show Jumping Clinic: Success Strategies for Equestrian Athletes, will be on sale at the CWD Tent on Saturday  and at Jeff Papow's Unbridled Passion Tent throughout the show. Leone will be on hand to sign and personalize copies.   

The book employs diagrams, exercises and anecdotes, as well as photos featuring riders such as McLain Ward, Richard Spooner and Georgina Bloomberg as models demonstrating concepts from his text.

Leone's book, written along with Kimberly Jaussi PhD, an avid rider, writer and leadership professor and coach, explores every aspect of riding from the basics of correct use of aids through the psychology of approaching a World Cup course.

Peter Leone is an Olympic equestrian, trainer, producer of hunter/jumper instructional DVDs and author. He owns and operates Lionshare Farm in Greenwich, CT. His clients successfully compete in the pony, equitation, hunter and jumper divisions. He is one of three brothers, internationally known as Team Leone, for their success in the show ring. Leone was a member of the 1996 Silver Medal United States Olympic Show Jumping Team and winner of numerous national and international Grand-Prix show jumping competitions.
