The official image for the Longines Global Champions Tour of Shanghai has been revealed, featuring the stunning city skyline and showcasing the dynamic China Art Palace which provides the backdrop to this unique round of action. The third leg of the 15-stop Championship will play host to the top athletes in the sport, fresh from Mexico City and Miami Beach. Synonymous with glamour and new beginnings, Shanghai is renowned for its record-breaking skyscrapers which have sprung up where just twenty years ago there was only farmland, and the growing number of new show jumping fans in the region is developing just as fast.

Over the course of three days, fans will be treated to a spectacle of show jumping as the world’s best come together to battle it out for top honours from the 28th – 30th April. Friday will see the first round of the Global Champions League kick off, where home team Shanghai Swans will be hoping for all the support of the local crowd as they battle it out for place at the top of the results board against the full grid of 18 teams.

Saturday will see the Global Champions League final which promises top level sport and entertainment to reveal who will take the crown in China, before the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix kicks off, where a prize purse of €500,000 will be on offer for the top athletes as well as prestigious LGCT Ranking points. Sunday will see two further high octane classes, as riders fight for bragging rights, as well as a share of the €270,000 prize purse in the final class alone.
