Saving the best for the last today, Madden, riding out of the final spot in the nine horse jump-off roster, raced her veteran partner Cortes C to a narrow victory in the $50,000 Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Final, just getting past Ireland’s Conor Swail and Grand Cru Eiken by 4/10ths of a second for the win. ...


Stewart and Goguen Close Out Winter Circuit with Championship Tricolors
With the kick off of Week 12 and the winter circuit winding down at the Winter Equestrian Festival, hunter riders look to get last minute points to qualify their horses for Devon and indoors. This week the Regular Conformation Hunter and the Green Conformation Hunter divisions were combined, making it an overall very competitive division. Once again, Scott Stewart rode Stephanie Danhakl’s First Light to claim the championship title, while Adam Ottomanelli aboard Back Story took reserve champion honors....

Sternlicht Wins Artisan Farms U25 Grand Prix Final; Deslauriers Clinches Series Title
The $50,000 Artisan Farms Under 25 Grand Prix Final, presented by The Dutta Corporation, in association with Guido Klatte, took place today on the Stadium Derby Field during week 11 of Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). Adrienne Sternlicht claimed the top prize with Quidam MB. The combination was the only double clear of the day, finishing the jump off in a time of 48.49 seconds. ...

Thea Chafee and Emma Kurtz Are Leaders in the ASPCA Maclay
Although the George Morris Excellence in Equitation Championship has passed it did not affect the numbers in the ASPCA Maclay on Sunday. Each section saw around 40 riders attempt the winding course. Many new faces and horses entered the ring today even though the winter circuit is coming to an end. Thea Chafee aboard Future Fiddler claimed top honors in Section A of the ASPCA Maclay....
